Those of you who expected innocence to last forever; stop reading right now, for The Provenance might have appeared virtuous to you, up until now, that is… This violently frustrated party of five are once again current fashion and believe you me; they’re raving bloody mad!
As you already know this fuming Gothenburg line-up consists of, and always will:
Tobias Martinsson - Guitars, vocals
Emma Hellström - Keyboards, flute, vocals
Joel Lindell - Drums, lyrics
Joakim Rosén - Guitars
Jonnie Täll - Bass
Throughout the years, since -95 when they first got together, The Provenance has been occupied with countless shows and recordings, bringing their music to a point of undeniable recognition. Having recorded a number of illustrative demos through -96 to -99 the band signs a contract with Italian metal label Scarlet Records and two full-length albums of highest standards, “25th hour; bleeding�(2001) and “Still at arms length�(2003), are released through them. Media from all over praise their work and reviews of the albums elevate the band to heights no higher than deserved. The Provenance has managed to earn the respect from everyone and stand proudly on the pillars of remembrance.
But, there will be no pointless dwelling in the past, for The Provenance are currently about to embark on a frightfully shocking drive including drug- romantics, sexual adventures and loads of miserable stories of sickness and suicide. This is reality and its everyday gloom made music! The only title to describe The Provenance current state of mind is furiously sincere; “How would you like to be spat on in the face�!
2004 is a year of revolution and it sure includes all of you lot. This is where, in the name of discontent and ridicule, you get to spit at your hated, their beliefs and immoral ways of living. Salivation to the Provenancial Front!
It’s a new beginning! The future is dark and unforgiving so let’s play with misery a while. In case you happen to be a masochist, The Provenance won’t spit until Nov 2004. So hold out you sinful bastards
